A Note from the Director
Mrs. Victoria Souder
Ballet Director & Choreographer
"In choreographing Wicked: The Story of Oz, my desire was to reveal the true nature of Elphaba's heart- it's goodness, purity, and wavering strength. Too often she is seen only as the villain, but in this adaptation, she something far more profound.

At it's core, this ballet is a celebration of friendship- one that endures through misunderstanding, adversity and sacrifice. Elphabas's journey is not one of wickedness, but of courage: the courage to stand firm in her values and choose what is right, no matter the cost.

In this retelling, she emerges as the true hero- not because of power or perception but because of her integrity"
